Q. Who are you? What is your company profile?
A. In short we are a group of IIT’ians who are working on providing a platform for colleges and companies to connect for recruitment. We work out of Gurgaon. Please refer to About Us page for details.

Q. Are you different from other online job portals? How?
A. The popular online portals provide a ‘company to individual’ connection whereas CoCubes brings colleges and all its students onboard. We provide a ‘company to college’ connection. We have separate logins for training and placement officer and for all students of college interested in placement. Moreover our student data is authenticated by the college.

Q. How is your student data authenticated?
A. All critical parameters for students (academic, college, branch, year etc) are uploaded by respective college’s training and placement officer onto our online system which auto generates student’s logins. Also we register college's not individual students, so in addition to being authenticated, we also capture all students in the college who want to get placed.

Q. Are you a placement consultant?
A. The answer is an emphatic no. We are here to improve recruitment efficiency, both for colleges and companies by taking processes online. That is our core area of focus.

Q. What is purpose of having event calendar at CoCubes?
A. Calendar is used to manage the different events scheduled by companies or colleges. Students can also use to have personal events. Using the event calendar, companies can schedule interview dates for different colleges. Colleges can update any college event on the calendar which will then be visible to all students of the college. This can be a college festival or the presentation by a company or the last date to submit fees. Also SMS reminders regarding events can be sent to mobiles.

Q. Why should our company use CoCubes?
A. There are more reasons to it than we can list down here. CoCubes.com offers companies the online platform for ‘campus recruitment’ resulting in increased reach, expedited time to market, higher conversion numbers and increased efficiency in external and internal communications. Q. Can CoCubes substitute for campus placements?
A. We actually make the existing campus placements better by supplementing it with our online process which helps companies improve efficiency. We can bring the colleges you want to go to online and also in case you want to add our online college to your portfolio; it can be done in a click.

Q. What are the parameters I can use for short listing students?
A. Check out our Search Students page to see the criteria’s in action. If you would like to suggest another parameter, please do use our ‘Feedback Form’ and we shall incorporate it in the system.

Q. Our company reaches across to many colleges. But I cannot see them on your portal. Is it possible to get them online?
A. Definitely yes. We can bring all the colleges you reach out to online for you. We have worked with prestigious clients where our platform has been used by firms to take their campus placements processes online and save on costs as well as increase ROI by increasing conversion and joining ratios. Q. We also have our college website, why do we need you?
A. We do not provide you with a static website. We provide a platform through which college can interact with its students through email and SMS, get their resume and video profiles online, invite companies to view them online and at the same time be a part of the bigger community of colleges.

Q. Which companies are associated with you?
A. We are currently in touch with a lot of companies, both big and small. Our founders being from IIT, the network in companies is easily built and there are a lot of contacts. We also do a lot of media publicity and online marketing to reach across to the smaller companies. Moreover our sales team also goes across to companies. Finally, we also give the facility of generating login passwords for companies to colleges which the college can send across to any company in India to see their college students online 24*7.

Q. How does CoCubes get companies for colleges?
A. There are three ways in which a student can get recruited.

Colleges can generate login/passwords to invite companies to campuses
CoCubes sales and marketing team gets in touch with companies and promotes them for campus placement
Each student gets his profile online which he can forward to companies who can see his resume along with video profile

Q. Which companies can access my college students?
Q. Can any company access my students?
Q. Will my college be visible for all companies? Will Students profile be visible for all companies?
A. That depends on you. We have a control page where you can make your college public and available to any company that comes to CoCubes through our marketing and media efforts. This will result in higher placements. Or you can reserve it only for the companies for whom you generate login. The companies for which you generate login will be able to access your college for free.

Q. We have some commitments to some big companies where they are the first recruiters on campus. How do I stop my campus from being visible to all companies till they have recruited?
A. Using your control page you can hide your college from being public till the big companies have recruited (for the big companies you can generate login/password). Then you can block students recruited by these companies and make your college public to allow other companies to see your students who are available for placement. This is possible with the click of a button.

Q. Can I do scheduling of companies? For e.g. there is one company which I want to invite as the first one on the campus, then the second etc.
A. Yes, you can. When you generate logins for companies, you can fill the placement date assigned to the company. So when the company sends a job post to your student, the placement date is fixed.

Q. What happens to a student once he is placed? Will he still be visible to companies?
Q. How do I remove a student from the placement website?
A. This depends on the training and placement officer. Once a student is placed, you can update his job status and block the student and he will no longer be seen by any company. Then when all students are placed and you want to open it for everybody again, you can unblock the student and he will again be visible.

Q. How does a college get registered?
A. College registration is simple and easy. We sign a MoU with the college and give the college representative a login. College uploads an excel file with student information and our system automatically mails/SMS’es the login/passwords to all the students. Students upload their resume and create their video profile. And you are ready for placement.

Q. Will you ensure that our students get placed?
A. We will ensure that your students get online. We shall make sure that companies 24*7 across India can access your students at the click of a button. The rest depends on the ability of students.

Q. Can you train our students for test and interviews in companies?
A. We understand the growing need for training students to make them competitive for getting through companies. And we want to make sure we provide the best solution possible. Currently, online articles are there on CoCubes and we are generating online tests for the students as well. Q. If a joint campus placement takes place, which college would host it?
A. This is a question for the companies to answer. They choose the college they want to go to. CoCubes help college and students be online and make them visible to companies across India 24*7.

Q. How do we submit student data? Which all student parameters need to be captured in the data format?
A. The student data needs to be in excel format. We only need the name, branch and roll number of the student to generate logins/passwords for the students and send them across to you. The college can then fill in the rest of the academic parameters like 10th, 12th and college percentage. Students can update their contact details like email ID and phone number.

Q. We want to add more fields into the student data format like semester wise data etc. Can we do that?
A. Yes, you can. If you have more detailed data please send this across to us with the rest of the data and we shall upload it for your college.

Q. Can a student be manually added later on to the college data at CoCubes?
A. Yes, very easily. There is an option in the TPO login which allows him to add a student to his college data.

Q. What will happen to the login of a student if he/she leaves the degree?
A. TPO of a college can block the login of that student if he/she leaves the degree.

Q. How will the college invite companies for placements using CoCubes?
Q. What is the use of generating login/passwords for companies?
A. We have built in a feature which allows the college to generate login/password for inviting companies to campus. Companies today in metros are tired with college TPO’s visiting them to give their college brochures and visiting cards. So, a college which comes online and gives online access to students to companies will stand out from the crowd. This will lead to more student placements and also building a name for the college.

Q. How will this help us manage our data? Will the college be able to generate excel file for different requirements of the company?
A. Currently, each time a company is planning to visit, you need to spend a lot of effort in remaking your data in that format. With CoCubes, you can easily generate excel by adjusting parameters on the college login. Moreover, now you can generate login/password and send it across to the company and they can directly use the login to shortlist students online.

Q. How do we buy SMS’s? In batches of how many?
A. SMS’s can be bought online. A draft for the payable amount needs to be sent to CoCubes and we shall credit the SMS to your account. You can buy SMS’s in batches of 1000.

Q. Can you help us transfer the data to excel?
A. Yes. In case the computer operator at the college is not available and to speed up the process of a college coming online we can transfer the data from paper to excel for your college.

Q. What will be the procedure after one year subscription for colleges is over?
A. The college can renew its subscription after one year.

Q. Can a college register for more than one year?
A. Yes, you can. Which shall mean that you shall have the same annual subscription fees for the next as many years as you register. Moreover we shall be happy to offer you a discount if you register for 3 years or more.

Q. Can a student fill her/his academic details?
A. No. The academic details can only be filled by the college.

Q. In case a branch is missing from the given list of branches. In this case can CoCubes add a branch?
A. Yes, we can. It is very simple and easy.

Q. How does an individual student create a login on CoCubes.com?
A. A student can create a login on CoCubes.com only when his/her college is registered. This is because our model works on getting all the students of your college online through your placement cell. You can do two things, leave your email address and mobile number so that we can get back to you and also ask your training and placement officer to get in touch with us. It takes less than a week to get a college online and make it visible to companies. You might want to become our student advisory board that represents us in colleges.

Q. How does being on CoCubes benefit me as a student?
A. Being registered on CoCubes through your college means that you get a personalized page on our website. This will have your video along with your resume online. Apart from companies that come to your college to recruit you can also send this link to companies you want to apply in. Also this login would remain with you even after you graduate which means you can keep updating your career information and share it with people you want.

Q. Which companies will come to our campus?
A. Like the other online portals, we also do not restrict ourselves to particular companies that we can bring to your campus. Once you are online along with your college, your profile is visible to many more companies than you can imagine. Some of the companies we are in touch with are E2E Infotech, Sodel Solutions, Inrea, ChipWorks etc. Also we want to pass on the power of getting a job to you also. You shall now have a global professional link for life where your resume and video shall be displayed and you can send this to companies instead of your resume.

Q. Is there a deadline for uploading resume?
A. A student needs to upload resume within 15 days of login. Your basic information will already be filled in by the college and you have to fill in your projects, internships and extracurricular information. This will then be approved by your college. The college TPO can also set a deadline after which a student will not be allowed to change his resume.

Q. What type of online material will be provided for the students?
A. Material relating to resume preparation, group discussion, tests and interviews will be made available online. Also other inspirational videos etc would also be available. Going forward we would include online tests as well which the students can take to improve their skills.

Q. Would students be able to communicate with each other?
A. Yes. There will be a mailing and messaging system which the students can use to communicate between different college students to prepare and discuss regarding placements.

Q. What will happen if a student fails to upload his/her profile before the deadline?
Q. Is there any further deadline will be provided for that student?
A. The student must upload his/her profile before the deadline.

Q. Is it possible for a student to be short listed for more than one job post application at the same time?
A. Yes, it is. Until the training and placement officer blocks a student from campus placement, a student can get selected for any number of jobs.

Q. Can a student directly ask queries to the company?
A. We are providing the facility of asking queries. Companies can either enable direct queries from the student or through the training and placement officer of the college.

Q. What if I forget my password?

Q. Is it necessary to have a login of CoCubes for accessing your web portal?
A. Yes

Q. What will be the benefits of video profiles?
A. Videos would differentiate you from the rest of the 4 lakh student in the country applying for the same job. Most companies nowadays are in metro cities and want to spend as little time as possible to recruit the best students. When companies can instantly see your video and resume through your link, half the job of getting recruited is already done.

Q. What does my video profile contain?
A. All video profiles contain answers to five typical HR questions which we have shortlisted after talking to a lot of companies.

Q. How do I upload my video profile? Is it free?
A. In your resume at CoCubes, there is a separate tab for uploading your resume. You can shoot the video profile using a webcam and upload it for free. However we also do video camps at colleges where a professional photographer comes to shoot and the students are charged for making the video.

Q. How will the logins of students be generated? How will it be provided to students?
A. We take an excel file of all students in 3rd and 4th year from the college. This has your email ID and mobile number along with academic details. We feed this into our system which automatically generates login/passwords for you. These are then sent by email to your email address, by SMS to your mobile number and a copy is sent to your college TPO.

Q. When I paste some things on my resume, the font is different from the font of typing. How do I correct that?
A. This shall automatically get corrected by getting converted to standard font once you save your resume!! Please try that.

Q. How do I update my academic information?
A. Any updates to the academic information can only be done by your training and placement officer. So please submit all changes like % change, branch change there. The reason for this is that we promise the companies that they would get authentic information approved by colleges.

Q. I cannot add a project. It says, error in values. What do I do?
A. This is mostly due to wrong date format being used. In the blank next to where you select month you need to fill year in YYYY format. That means if the project you did was last year, put 2007 there. Also after adding a project, save the resume first, before using 'View Resume' option.
